CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) –
The Casino Career Academy is placing a huge bet on the new casino to attract eager students to learn the rules of blackjack, roulette, craps and poker.
Owners Dee and Sal Piacente opened the business in July. The married couple met at dealer school in Atlantic City and together have more than 40 years experience in casinos around the world.
“Where we come from in Atlantic City, you had to have formal training but now it's spread so far so fast that they don't require that,” said Dee Piacente.
“We wanted to make sure we just started from basics and taught everyone everything that they should know.”
Several casinos like the new Horseshoe Casino in Cincinnati will train dealers for free but the Piacente's still think they have a unique product to offer.
Classes range from five to eight weeks and can cost as much as $750 per game.
